EarthBeat! Records was founded in 1989 as the adult world music sister label to Music For Little People, producing recordings in Jazz, Native American, Latin, African-American, Folk, Reggae, Blues, New Age and other World genres.

Our renowned artists have included Obo Addy, Alex De Grassi, Moussa Kanoute, Mike Marshall, John Santos, Kevin Locke, Linda Tillery & the Cultural Heritage Choir, Sweet Honey In The Rock and Eric Bibb. The internationally acclaimed Shadowfax release, Esperanto, received a Grammy® Nomination in 1993.

EarthBeat!’s compilations have featured R. Carlos Nakai, Ulali, Andrew Vasquez, Walela, Bruce Cockburn, Hank Williams, Jr., John Trudell, Joni Mitchell, Bobby McFerrin, Jackson Brown, The Pretenders, Jimmy Cliff, Lucky Dube, Judy Mowatt and John Lennon, to name a few.

EarthBeat!’s successful Tribal series, featuring Native American artists from various tribes nationwide, has sold over 500,000 to date.

Our most recent developing artist is blues/folk singer/songwriter/guitarist Eric Bibb. We released
Good Stuff in 1997 and Spirit And The Blues in 1999. Home To Me was released in August 2000 and Painting Signs in 2001. This is one artist you don’t want to miss!

Another first from EarthBeat! was The Persuasions performing Frank Zappa songs, on Frankly A Cappella, released in March 2000. Voted “Artists Of The Year” (1999) by Amazon.com, The Persuasions recorded their first children’s album, On The Good Ship Lollipop, on Music For Little People in 1999.
